PROPS, more formally known as Psychology Research Opportunity Programs, has been helping students for over 30 years. This innovative initiative at UCLA is dedicated to supporting underrepresented students in the field of psychology, providing them with invaluable research experience and mentorship opportunities.
Since its inception, PROPS has aimed to bridge the gap for students who may face barriers in accessing higher education and research opportunities. The program pairs students with faculty mentors, allowing them to engage in hands-on research projects that enhance their academic and professional skills.
Participants in PROPS not only gain essential research experience but also develop a strong network of peers and professionals in the psychology field. This support system fosters a sense of community and belonging among students, empowering them to pursue their passions and excel in their studies.
As PROPS continues to evolve, its commitment to uplifting the next generation of psychologists remains steadfast, making a lasting impact on both the students and the broader academic community.
